2. Local-First Design, Data & Ads

Caribbean Trivia is built with a local-first philosophy:

• No Third-Party Ads: Caribbean Trivia does not display third-party advertisements and is designed to function locally in your browser.
• Local Storage: All gameplay progress (scores, unlocked avatars, coins, island achievements, and settings) is stored locally on your device via standard browser storage (localStorage).
• No Mandatory Logins: You do not need to register, provide credentials, or use Google Sign-In to enjoy the full game experience.

3. Virtual Currency and Items

Caribbean Trivia features virtual "Carnival Coins" and in-game cosmetic items (such as avatars). Please note:

• Virtual coins and items have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash, real currency, or real-world goods.
• We reserve the right to manage, modify, or eliminate virtual currency and items at any time, with or without notice.

4. User Conduct

When using the Game, you agree not to:

• Use cheats, exploits, automation software, bots, hacks, or any unauthorized software designed to modify or interfere with the Game experience or Leaderboards.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the Game.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers or infrastructure.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Game is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding continuous availability, accuracy of trivia questions, or reliability of the Game. We do not guarantee that your locally stored game progress will not be cleared if you reset your browser cache or device.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the developers of Caribbean Trivia be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Game, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of progress, or device issues.
